His Highness President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received the Iraqi Foreign Minister at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, reiterating the UAE’s continued efforts towards expanding its ties with Iraq. The top-level meeting was centered on deepening cooperation in areas of diplomatic, economic, and regional security.
In the course of the talks, both sides discussed the latest events in the Middle East, and stressed the need for dialogue, stability, and Arab world unity. The Iraqi Foreign Minister conveyed his government’s gratitude for the UAE support and regional peace efforts.
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed reiterated the UAE’s commitment to closely working with Iraq for the advancement of common interests, economic development, and sustainable growth. The two countries agreed to enhance cooperation in investment, energy, infrastructure, and cultural exchanges.
