Non-oil trade between the two countries rose to $12.12 billion last year

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh on Monday. The Vietnamese Prime Minister met him during his official visit to the UAE. The prime minister was received at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi

This visit shows the UAE’s efforts towards cultural diplomacy and international relations. The two leaders discussed the opportunities for cooperation in a wide range of sectors. They also focus on advancing their common vision of progress and prosperity for both nations.

Economic and trade relations between the UAE and Vietnam are gradually on a growth pattern. As it was clear that the non-oil trade stands at $12.12 billion in 2023 as compared to 38.7% in 2023. These indicate that Vietnam will become the largest trading partner of the non-oil component amongst the ASEAN countries.

They laid emphasis on trade, investment, renewable energy, climate action, and cultural exchange between the two countries. The leaders also showed commitment to peace and stability in the region.
