UAE Recruitment Trends during Ramadan: What Sectors Experience a Boost?

While most expect recruitment to slow down during Ramadan, various sectors in the UAE actually intensify hiring during the holy month. As per latest statistics, 79.1% of professionals throughout the MENA region spend more time on job hunting during Ramadan, thus making it an important time for employers and job seekers alike.

Sector such as hospitality, retail, e-commerce, and logistics experience high hiring activity in order to address the seasonal demands. Moreover, healthcare and customer service industries require extra personnel during Ramadan, and this creates more jobs.

Even with an apparent deceleration in the pace of business hiring, companies keep on bringing in candidates for jobs that have to be on-boarded before the summer months. HR specialists recommend job applicants not lose enthusiasm as recruiters still search for great talent.

For job seekers looking for new opportunities, Ramadan can be a good time to apply, network, and get ready for post-Eid job vacancies. With careful job hunting and timely application, professionals can use this time to grab promising career opportunities.
