Pupils at different UAE schools will have a 21-day spring break from March 24, giving them the much-needed break before the concluding academic term for the year. School calendars have indicated that the break will be until mid-April, when students will go back to schools after Eid Al Fitr celebrations.
Teaching staff will also have a shorter but sufficient 14-day holiday in which to refresh themselves before taking up duties. The break is during the Holy Month of Ramadan and Eid celebrations, making it a time for rest and spiritual reflection for many families.
Schools in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and other emirates will follow the schedules as set by the Ministry of Education guidelines. Many families will take advantage of the chance to travel, with holiday hotspots in and out of the region recording more bookings.
Educational authorities have instructed parents to remain abreast of personal school circulars, as some schools may differ slightly in return dates based on operational requirements and the sighting of the Eid Al Fitr moon.
