As the winter holiday season draws near, the UAE Ministry of Interior advice residents to refrain from carrying large sums of cash and valuable items during their trips. This recommendation is made in light of potential security risks, aiming to ensure that travelers enjoy a safe and stress-free experience.

The Ministry has highlighted the significance of planning, advising holidaymakers to secure accommodations and activities through reputable platforms and verified agencies. This approach helps reduce the likelihood of falling victim to scams or fraud, which tend to increase during busy travel periods.

Travelers are encouraged to utilize digital payment options, such as credit and debit cards or secure digital wallets, to lessen the need for carrying substantial amounts of cash. Furthermore, the Ministry recommended using hotel safes or lockers to store valuable items and taking necessary precautions to protect personal belongings during outings.

By adhering to these guidelines, residents can better protect themselves and their possessions while enjoying a peaceful and secure holiday season. The Ministry also reminded travelers to remain alert and report any suspicious activities to local authorities.
