The UAE’s visa amnesty program concludes tomorrow, providing the last chance for foreign nationals to correct their visa status without incurring penalties. With the deadline nearing, authorities are urging those with expired visas or illegal residency to take prompt action before stricter enforcement measures begin.

Starting January 1, 2025, inspection campaigns will be initiated nationwide, focusing on businesses and individuals engaged in illegal employment. Those found violating the law will face significant fines and other legal repercussions. The government has emphasized a zero-tolerance policy for non-compliance, reinforcing its commitment to immigration regulations.

The enforcement actions will also impose harsher penalties on employers who hire individuals lacking proper documentation or who employ workers in breach of visa restrictions. Businesses are encouraged to ensure compliance with the UAE’s employment laws to avoid serious consequences.

As the amnesty period comes to a close, individuals and businesses are advised to act quickly to evade impending penalties. The UAE is dedicated to upholding order and transparency in its labor market, ensuring that all workers are properly documented and legally employed.
