UAE Weather: Dense Fog Warnings Issued, Rain May Hit Some Areas

Some UAE residents can expect light rain on Saturday, December 21, as per the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). The weather forecast indicates a chance of rain over islands, as well as in northern and eastern areas, especially on Saturday night and early Sunday morning.

For most of the country, the day will feature fair to partly cloudy skies, with intervals of increased cloud cover.

In an early morning update, the NCM issued red and yellow fog alerts for certain regions. Residents are advised to stay cautious and monitor highlighted foggy areas on weather maps.

Along with the changing skies, light to moderate winds are expected to sweep across the UAE. Winds will occasionally freshen, particularly over the sea, ranging between 10-20 kmph, and may increase to 35 kmph, coming from the northwesterly to southeasterly directions.

Sea Conditions

The Arabian Gulf is expected to have slight to moderate sea conditions, but rougher waters may develop in the west during the night. The Oman Sea will generally remain slight to moderate throughout the day.
