UAE Weather Update: Fair Skies with a Chance of Fog or Mist Today

The weather in the UAE today is expected to be mostly clear, with partly cloudy skies at times, as per the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

The forecast predicts that humidity will increase by Friday night and early Saturday morning in some inland areas, raising the chance of fog or mist forming.

Wind and Sea Conditions

Light to moderate northwesterly winds are expected, occasionally shifting to southeasterly winds. These winds may freshen, with speeds ranging from 10-20 km/h and gusts reaching up to 35 km/h.

The Arabian Gulf will see moderate to slight sea conditions, while the Oman Sea will remain mostly calm. The NCM has issued a rough sea alert, with wave heights reaching up to 6 feet in the Arabian Gulf until 6:00 AM on Friday, December 20.

  • Abu Dhabi: High of 24ºC, Low of 17ºC
  • Dubai: High of 24ºC, Low of 16ºC
  • Sharjah: High of 25ºC, Low of 14ºC

Yesterday’s Weather Highlights

On Thursday, December 19, the highest temperature recorded in the UAE was 27ºC in Dhudna, Fujairah, at 1:45 PM, and in Sweihan, Al Ain, at 2:45 PM. The lowest temperature dropped to 4.6ºC in Jais Mountain, Ras Al Khaimah, at 3:30 AM.
