UAE Weather Update: Temperature Decline, Fog Formation, and High Seas Warning

Residents of the UAE can look forward to a temperature decline, with the formation of fog in various regions, as reported by the National Center of Meteorology (NCM). The prediction is for a decline in daytime temperatures, especially in coastal and northern regions, with early morning mist and fog predicted to lower visibility on roads.

Drivers are advised to drive carefully since dense fog is expected to develop in areas of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and the Western Region in the early morning hours. The authorities have requested commuters to adhere to speed limit decreases on routes with fog to guarantee safety. Also, moderate to strong winds may pick up dust in some areas of the interior, causing minimal visibility issues.

The NCM has also given a rough sea alert in the Arabian Gulf, issuing an advisory of strong waves and choppy seas. Fishing and navigation should exercise caution as waves may be up to 6 feet offshore. The Sea of Oman is likely to be relatively calm but with intermittent moderate swells.

Ahead, temperatures are expected to be mild to cool overnight, especially in desert and mountain regions. The UAE’s weather shift towards spring will also continue to yield changing conditions, with sporadic fog outbreaks and cooler winds on the cards for the next few weeks.
