UAE weather warning: Rain, lower temperatures, and dusty winds predicted

The UAE National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued a weather warning for scattered rain and plummeting temperatures this week for several regions in the country. Residents can look forward to light to moderate rain, while some areas stand to witness a substantial drop in temperatures as the weather front takes over.

To NCM, northwesterly winds might lift dust by day, predominantly in open parts, lowering the horizontal visibility as well as creating travel less hospitable. Coast and inland territories both can bear breezy conditions and issue an advisory to car drivers and also to outdoor employees to be mindful.

The change in weather is set to be part of a seasonal shift that will be characterized by fluctuating pressure systems. Cloud cover is anticipated over eastern and southern parts, raising the chances of rain, particularly during afternoon and evening hours.

Authorities are asking residents to remain updated via official channels and not go to valleys or floodplains during rain. Outdoor recreation could be impacted, and drivers are advised to keep a safe speed, particularly on highways and desert roads where dust might obscure visibility.
