The UAE is all set to mark another milestone in its space exploration journey as MBZ SAT, the region’s most advanced satellite, blasts off into space tonight from California. The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) has announced plans to livestream the historic event, allowing space enthusiasts to witness the momentous occasion from anywhere in the world.

Also on the same mission are HCT-SAT 1, the satellite built by students of Higher Colleges of Technology, emphasizing the UAE’s pursuit of innovation and talent in space. The two satellites form part of the ambitious agenda that has been outlined by the country in an effort to enhance its space capabilities and inspire a new generation of scientists and engineers.

The MBZ SAT, named after UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is designed to provide high-resolution images and support environmental and humanitarian missions. Its advanced imaging capabilities represent a significant leap in the region’s satellite technology.

It encourages space enthusiasts and UAE residents to tune in to MBRSC’s livestream and be part of this historic moment, as the nation’s contributions to global space exploration efforts grow.
