UN Rejects Sudan Army Claim; UAE Mission Reacts Strongly

A United Nations report published recently has completely dismissed accusations of interference made by the Sudanese army against the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The report concluded that it did not have any credible evidence to prove the allegations and highlighted the significance of authentic information as well as diplomacy in the prevailing crisis in Sudan.

The UAE UN Permanent Mission immediately issued a statement that welcomed the report’s recommendations. The Mission restated the UAE’s steadfast adherence to non-interference, humanitarian assistance, and peaceful resolution of regional conflicts. It also reasserted the country’s continued relief efforts on behalf of Sudanese civilians ravaged by war.

Sudan’s military has in the past accused external forces, including the UAE, of interfering with the conflict. But the UN’s independent report explicitly goes against these accusations, calling on all the parties to refrain from sharing unverified information that could fuel tensions or undermine peace efforts.

This move arrives when international players call for talks on the ceasefire and diplomatic engagement in Sudan. The UAE reaction reaffirms its position in respecting global standards and promoting regional stability through open communication and humanitarian involvement.
