Unexpected Summer Travellers See a Drop in UAE-India Airfares After July 8

Many summer travellers were taken aback by the unexpected and notable decline in airfares to India that travel agents in the United Arab Emirates have noticed since July 8. Ticket prices, which typically peak between Dh2,800 and Dh3,000 during the holiday rush, are currently falling to “unusually low levels,” which presents an unforeseen chance for last-minute travel arrangements.

Industry insiders attribute the price dip to a combination of increased airline capacity, easing demand from early holiday travelers, and strategic promotions by carriers competing on this high-traffic route. With major airlines ramping up flights to key Indian cities, the supply surge is outpacing current demand.

For midsummer, this tendency is rather rare, according to one agent stationed in Dubai. July is usually when we get steady highs, but this year has been different. It’s a great time to book for anyone who was previously deterred by high costs.”

As travel agents urge residents to take advantage of the price drop, many expect fares to stabilize or increase again by the end of July. Travelers looking to visit family or enjoy a quick vacation are advised to act quickly before prices rebound.
