The US embassy in Abu Dhabi and the US Consulate General in Dubai will be closed on Monday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day.

This day honors US military members who have made the ultimate sacrifice, as stated by the US mission to the UAE on social media.

Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, November 12.

The US missions in the UAE play a key role for American expats, helping them stay connected with important events back home. Recently, American citizens in the UAE voted in the presidential elections through the embassy and consulate, either online or by using postal ballots at the US embassy or consulate.
