As the UAE prepares for a spectacular celebration to ring in the new year, drivers will be pleased to learn that free parking will be available in major emirates on New Year’s Day. Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah have confirmed that public parking will be free on January 1, 2025, allowing residents and visitors to partake in the festivities without the burden of parking fees.

In Abu Dhabi, most areas will offer free parking, except for designated paid zones. The same goes for Dubai, where the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has arranged for complimentary parking in public areas throughout the city. Sharjah is also on board, providing free parking to facilitate smooth traffic as thousands venture out to celebrate.

It’s crucial to remember that while parking fees will be waived, parking in restricted areas or obstructing traffic can still result in fines. So, while you take advantage of the free parking, be sure to park in the appropriate spots to avoid any complications.

With a plethora of exciting events and celebrations scheduled across the nation, these parking options provide essential relief for those planning to go out for New Year’s Eve or join public festivities on January 1st.
