It has created a stunning scene across cities like Sakaka and Dumat Al Jandal. This rare occurrence has attracted both residents and tourists. They are eager to witness the snowfall. Snowfall is a unique event in a region. It is typically known for its springtime wildflowers and vibrant blooms.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) has shared images that highlight the scenic beauty of areas like Rafha in the Northern Borders. The flowing streams and full natural basins contribute to a lush landscape. These captivating visuals have led to an increase in visitors. The tourists want to experience the picturesque environment. Winter contrasts with the usual desert climate.

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) and the General Directorate of Civil Defense are monitoring the situation. NCM forecasts continue to issue warnings about moderate to heavy thunderstorms, strong winds, hail, and potential flash floods. There are heightened weather alerts for regions such as Jazan, Asir, Al Baha, Makkah, Madinah, and the Northern Borders. Light rain and fog are also expected to create additional travel challenges in Riyadh, Qassim, the Eastern Province, Tabuk, and Al Jawf.

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Al Jouf has set up its emergency preparedness. Local teams are on standby due to worsening weather conditions. They are always ready to assist residents affected by potential floods, strong winds, and icy conditions. Meanwhile, residents have been advised to exercise caution on the roads. There are chances of fog and slippery conditions due to snowfall and hail accumulation.

Saudi Arabia has adapted to this unusual winter weather. Plentiful rains and snow are expected which will lead to a vibrant spring season. The early signs of winter have been experienced by the residents in Rafha and Al Jouf. All these weather events are starting a blessed winter for the residents.
