Women Swept by Waterfall Surge in India, Rescued Seconds from the Edge

Terrifying moments as six women trapped in gushing current narrowly escape tragedy. A group of six women in India had a near-death experience after being swept away by a sudden surge in a waterfall’s current. A dramatic video capturing the terrifying incident shows the women clinging to each other in the middle of a rapidly rising stream, just meters from the edge of a drop.

The incident occurred at a popular local waterfall spot, where unexpected rainfall upstream caused the water level to spike suddenly. Onlookers and rescuers rushed to the scene, throwing ropes and forming human chains to pull the women to safety.

The rescue was completed just seconds before the women could have been carried over the edge, drawing widespread attention on social media, where the video has gone viral.

Officials have urged the public to exercise caution when visiting natural water bodies, especially during the monsoon season, when water levels can rise unpredictably and become deadly within moments.
