Indian cricket legend Yuvraj Singh recently looked back on India’s historic 2011 World Cup victory, dedicating the win to Sachin Tendulkar, who had taken 22 years to wait for the elusive title. Looking back on the emotional rollercoaster, Yuvraj recalled the moment as a tribute to the great batsman, whose tireless work and passion motivated generations of cricketers.

The 2011 World Cup is still a defining chapter in Indian cricketing history, with Tendulkar’s lifetime ambition fulfilled on home turf. Yuvraj, who was awarded the Player of the Series for the tournament for his all-round performances, remembered the pure elation of holding the trophy with his teammates, keeping a promise made to the Master Blaster.

The Wankhede Stadium win in Mumbai is still remembered in the hearts of cricket lovers, representing the culmination of a golden age spearheaded by the brilliance of Tendulkar and the fearlessness of the young brigade.
